Job Description:
 
The CPS Operations Supervisor position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in running the day to day operations of a local agricultural input distributor. The primary role of this position is to assist location management in providing operational support and customer service and ensure a safe work environment for our employees, visitors, and customers.
 
Key Tasks:
- Assist the Operations Manager in day to day operations of the facility to include inventory, receivables and product delivery. Light lifting ability required.
- Ensure location’s inventory is optimized to meet customers’ requirements, while maintaining appropriate turns.
- Assist Operations Manager in determining appropriate staffing levels, lead and monitor performance, resolve work related employee issues, provide a safe work environment, and ensure necessary training.
- Ensure environmental compliance is maintained at all times. Properly dispose of all unusable products and provide training to employees to respond to environmental issues.
- Ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed and that the location can pass internal and external audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Good attendance is required for consistent operations of the business.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required. Agronomic/Agricultural based degree or experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license is required.
- Very high degree of oral and written communication capabilities and good listening skills
- Ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and have an ability to motivate others preferred.
- Thorough understanding of fertilizer and agricultural chemical usage preferred
- Knowledge/understanding of branch operation and equipment
- Computer skills in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Exchange, etc.) and company agronomic programs
