You will have daily contact with your supervisor along with location representatives and other Crop Scout Assistants as required. You will be supplied with equipment to do your job which may include a vehicle, cell phone and other equipment as necessary   Key Tasks: - Inspects farmers’ fields and records weed, insect, disease and other observations - Communicate observations to the CPS branch representative and back to the customer - Play an important role in field scouting services offered to help farmers make timely, informed and economical field crop decisions - There may also be an opportunity to provide branch support and special events support during the growing season   Qualifications:  - Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time under all weather conditions - Persons looking for a challenging summer experience that involves prompt decision making, embracing leadership and helping farmers succeed - Above average organizational skills, ability to understand new concepts and learn quickly, complete work targets with little or no supervision in a timely manner, self-motivated - Education includes (but not limited to) students or graduates from university or college agricultural programs, business programs or other education who are genuinely interested in working in the agricultural community - Having a farm background is advantageous but not necessary - Required to satisfy CPS pre-employment requirements which include Criminal Background Check, Drug & Alcohol Testing and a Current Driver's Abstract   CPS, a Nutrien Company, is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.  We encourage applications from all well qualified candidates who reflect the diversity of the regions where we operate.  This includes recognizing the voluntary identification of status such as gender, sexual orientation, visible minority, Indigenous status, persons with disabilities, and veterans, where applicable.   If this sounds like a good match, apply now.
